Supporting the CIBC Breast Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital

Our Giving Campaign: A portion of proceeds from every Krisette & Co. purchase supports the CIBC Breast Centre’s mission to provide world-class breast cancer care to our community from June 25, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Together, we’re helping ensure that every person who needs breast cancer screening and treatment has access to the expert care they deserve.

This cause is deeply personal to us. Our founder, Krisette Santamaria, was diagnosed with breast cancer at St. Michael’s in March 2025 and is now in recovery. The exceptional care she received there inspired our commitment to giving back to this vital institution.

Krisette & Co. is proud to support the CIBC Breast Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital, the go-to site for breast cancer care serving patients of all ages, backgrounds, and communities. As the designated site for the Ontario Breast Cancer Screening Program, their expert team performs more than 7,600 ultrasound-guided mammograms and over 400 MRIs every year—work that is crucial to diagnosing and treating cancers.

Every piece in our Bunn Line is crafted using 97% reclaimed materials, ensuring that what was once destined for landfills becomes part of your home’s story.

Coffee Grounds: From Waste to Wonder

Our proprietary coffee-shell technology is at the heart of what makes Krisette & Co. unique. We partner with Toronto’s coffee shops to collect used coffee grounds that would otherwise contribute to greenhouse gas emissions in landfills. Through our innovative process, these grounds are transformed into the distinctive coffee shell finish that defines our furniture.

Environmental Benefits:

  • Waste Diversion: Each coffee table we create diverts approximately 15-20 pounds of coffee grounds from landfills
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: By preventing coffee grounds from decomposing in landfills, we help reduce methane emissions—a greenhouse gas 25 times more potent than CO2
  • Circular Economy: We close the loop on coffee consumption, giving new life to materials that have already served their primary purpose

Reclaimed Wood & Materials

Beyond coffee grounds, we source offcut wood and other materials that would otherwise be discarded, ensuring every element of our furniture has a second chance at purpose.
