Sustainability

We started Krisette & Company to create beautiful, heirloom quality furniture without the environmental impact. We use at least 97% reclaimed materials in all of our products.

We have developed key partnerships with workshops and coffee houses in and around the GTA, working to divert used coffee grinds and wood (called "wood offcuts") destined for landfill. These materials are prepared by our trained team, and made available to our artisans for creating products.

Why divert used coffee and wood offcuts?

When organic materials like coffee grinds decompose in landfills, they produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. By redirecting these materials for permanent reuse, we can turn waste into valuable resources. This not only minimizes landfill waste but also promotes a circular economy where resources are reused and recycled, contributing to a more sustainable environment.
